There may be times when this office is closed during normal operating hours due to court and hearings, continuing education, inquests, magistration, etc. Some instances are out of our control and completely unpredictable. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

If you come to our location and no one is available, there is a drop box to your right.

Please leave any documents for us. Make sure all information is included Name/DL# on the documentation you leave.

Paying Your Fine

1. Paying Your Fine at the Court Window

If your fine has not been sent to collections, you may pay it in person at the court window:

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Open thru lunch: 

Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash, cashier’s check or money order (no fee)

Make cashier’s checks or money orders payable to the court.


2. Paying by Credit or Debit Card (Not in Collections)

If your fine has not been paid by the due date and has not been forwarded to a debt collector, you may pay by credit or debit card through Ncourt.

Information Needed for NCourt Payments

When paying through NCourt, you will need:

  • Citation Number – This will begin with TX144- for Lee County Sheriff’s Office or TX C for Texas Department of Public Safety.
  • Court Date– This will be your Appearance Date listed on citation.
  • Amount Due – This is the total amount you are required to pay for your citation.

3. If Your Account Has Been Sent to Collections

If your fine has been past due for 60 days or more, it has been forwarded to a private debt collection agency.

Additional charges:

  • 30% collection fee added to the balance
  • $10 DPS administrative fee (if an Omni hold has been placed on your driver’s license)

An Omni hold prevents you from renewing your driver’s license. Once all fines and fees are paid, the hold will be lifted.

Requesting an Extension to Pay Your Fine

You may request additional time to pay your fine.

How to submit a request:
Submit a completed Request for Extension to Pay Fine form by mail, email, fax, or in person.

Important notes:

  • All sections of the form must be completed, including your plea.
  • Incomplete forms will be returned and not processed.
  • If granted, you will have 31 days to pay your fine.
  • You may request one additional 31-day extension if needed.
  • $15 late payment fee will be added if payment is not made within the extension period or if a second extension is granted.
